Hello, welcome to my first Weekly Wrap Up (08/01) of 2024. I’ve been going through some life changes this month, so I haven’t been doing quite as much reading as I normally like to do in January, but there’s still time for that to change! Books Read The Last Murder at the End of the World by Stuart Turton I was lucky enough to get an eARC of this dystopian mystery novel from Bloomsbury and NetGalley. It’s an intriguing idea for a novel, a murder mystery with the last survivors of the apocalypse, sounds interesting! I liked it but I didn’t love it as much as I hoped to. Pre-order…

Hello, welcome to another weekly wrap up (16/10) post! I have been particularly lacking on posting these, I’m trying to get them up more regularly! This wrap up is quite light, I didn’t read as much as I wanted to, but I did watch a very Halloweeny tv show! Books Read Hazardous Spirits by Anbara Salam I was very lucky to be sent a proof copy of this novel from Hodder. It’s a historical novel set in 1920s Edinburgh featuring seances, spirits and some very lavish parties! Buy from Waterstones or Bookshop.org Currently Reading Flowers in the Attic by Virginia Andrews This is my audiobook of choice at the moment,…

Hello, thank you for reading my Weekly Wrap Up 08/05! We’re almost half way through May which seems unbelievable to me! Where is time going?? Anyway my reading month is going ok so far, lets see what my week involved! Books Read The Burning Chambers by Kate Mosse This was a little bit of an unusual choice from me, I don’t read an awful lot of historical fiction. I quite enjoyed this novel although I did find it rather slow and did have to force myself to finish it. Not my genre but a good book with excellent descriptive language. Buy from Waterstones or Bookshop.org The Lesbiana’s Guide to Catholic…

Hello, welcome to another Weekly Wrap Up 01/05 post. I have not managed to keep up with these at all, but I thought a new month might offer a perfect opportunity to do so! Whether that remains the case for the rest of May we shall see! Books Read The Isles of the Gods by Amie Kaufman This was the first book on my May TBR, and is actually the only book I’ve completed this week. That isn’t to say its a tough read, its a fun YA novel about pirates and magic, I just struggled to find time to read it in! Buy from Bookshop.org or Waterstones Currently Reading…

Hello! I’m hoping to kickstart the Weekly Wrap Ups again, after a rather poor start to the year! It’s April, springtime, which means warmer temperatures and more daylight, two things that give me instant serotonin! I definitely want to read more during the spring and summer! Let’s see how last week was for me, its Weekly Wrap Up 17/04 time! Books Read The Devil Makes Three by Tori Bovalino I had the first few days of last week off, so I used it as a chance to get stuck into a few books. First one I picked up was this one, a dark academia novel set in a college, where…
