Inside and Out Book Tag!

I saw this tag on Jack’s Bedtime Reading and thought it looked fun!
Inside flap/back of the book summaries: Too much info? Or not enough?
This is a difficult question, in my opinion it depends entirely on the book, some books have perfect blurbs and some do give away too much of the plot. So I’m going to give a rubbish answer and say both!
New book: what form do you want it in? Be honest: Audiobook, E-Book, Paperback, or Hardcover?
It’s always paperback for me. I like hardbacks, but I find paperbacks are the easiest to read and carry around, and the most affordable!
Scribble while you read? Do you like to write in your books, take notes, make comments, or do you keep your books clean clean clean?
I sometimes underline things in books, and I do love using sticky tabs to mark things I enjoyed or want to think about more, but I don’t really make notes in them as such.
Does it matter to you whether the author is male or female when you’re deciding on a book? What if you’re unsure of the author’s gender?
I don’t mind what gender the author is, I try to be mindful of reading more female and non-binary authors, and more authors of colour, because a few years ago my reading was entirely overflowing with white male authors, but other than that I don’t mind.
Ever read ahead? or have you ever read the last page way before you got there?
I will admit that I am guilty of this! Occasionally I read the final page of books, and sometimes I am spoiled, but I don’t really mind!
Organised bookshelves, or outrageous bookshelves?
I have never had organised bookshelves. Mostly due to having way too many books to fit the shelf space, but my books are very unorganised to look at, with piles on the floor and around the bookshelf. I blame it entirely on lack of shelf space!!
Have you ever bought a book based on the cover (alone)?
I have definitely picked up books and read the blurb based on the cover, but I don’t think I have ever purchased a book without reading the blurb and being intrigued first!
Take it outside to read, or stay in?
Both!! The weather in Scotland is not conducive to reading outside very often, but when it’s nice I love nothing more than taking my book outside and sitting in the sun. Otherwise snuggled inside under a blanket with a hot drink is good for me!
There we go! Tag completed! Feel free to answer these questions if you want to, I tag everyone!
Happy reading!
