Heavy Vinyl No. 4 by Carly Usdin and Nina Vakueva
This is the fourth volume of this comic series about a group of record shop workers that become a crime fighting gang! I love the illustrations and the characters in this series!
The Court of Miracles by Kester Grant
This is a YA historical fantasy that is published on the 18th of June. I read an ARC copy of this novel, and I found it a bit disappointing.
My review of this novel will be up on the blog later this week.
The Darkdeep by Ally Condie and Brendan Reichs
I listened to the audiobook of this novel through my library app. This is a middle grade novel about a group of kids who find a mysterious horse boat floating in a hidden lake. It’s a middle grade horror novel, I liked the premise but I wasn’t enthralled by it.
Exhalation by Ted Chiang
I borrowed the ebook of this collection of short stories from my local library too! Maybe I am just too stupid but I found the topics of these short stories were just too deep and philosophical, and it totally detracted from any enjoyment I had in reading them.
The Obsidian Tower by Melissa Caruso
This was a wonderful first book in a new fantasy series by this author. It has good LGTBQ+ representation; the main character is bisexual, there is a non-binary secondary character and a female-female romance between two secondary characters.

My Name is Monster by Katie Hale
This is described as being inspired by Robinson Crusoe and Frankenstein, which sounds intriguing to me!! I am only a wee bit into it, but so far I am loving the writing style a lot, its very lyrical!
Thirteen Storeys by Jonathan Sims
I am reading this novel through Secret Readers, thanks to Gollancz! It’s a thriller with horror elements which is slightly out of my comfort zone, but I’m enjoying it so far!
A Song of Wraiths and Ruin by Roseanne A. Brown
This book isn’t actually published until July in the UK, but the audiobook is on Scribd right now, so I decided to get stuck in.
