Top 5 Tuesday |Top 5 Main Males

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Shanah at Bionic Bookworm

Every week they suggest a different topic and write a post listing their top 5!

King of scars 2

I thought we should start with a guy that I only recently read about, and honestly didn’t love immediately, Nikolai from King of Scars. He is cocky and arrogant, yet funny and caring and brave and basically brilliant. After a certain character’s demise in Crooked Kingdom, he was exactly who I needed in this book.

All the light we cannot see

Another male character that I loved and would protect is Werner from All the Light We Cannot See. Werner is a German soldier during WWII who through the novel questions his morals and his motives and eventually comes to realise that he will have to fight hard for what he believes in against the Nazis.

The knife of never letting go

Next is another YA offering, this time it’s Todd, the awesome main character from The Knife of Never Letting Go. Todd is brave and intelligent and caring, and he is a perfect main character to this series. I’m excited to see how Tom Holland portrays him in the movie later this year.

Noughts and crosses.jpeg

Callum from Noughts & Crosses is another one of my favourite male characters. In this exceptional novel, Blackman turns racial stereotypes on their head, and Callum is the perfect character to help do this. I need to re-read these books again, because it’s been too long!

Pride and prejudice 2

My final male for this post is a classic. Mr Darcy is one of my favourite characters ever, his gruff exterior, and his general dislike of people, especially the Bennets is so funny. The relationship between Darcy and Elizabeth is one of my favourites and he seemed like the perfect male for the list!

What are your top 5 male characters? Do you agree with mine? Let’s chat books!
