The Library of the Dead by T. L. Huchu

My first choice is this fantasy novel set in a dystopian Edinburgh! I love the cover of this novel, with the map of the streets, and I am lucky enough to own the Goldsboro Books edition which has the map on the edges of the book too!

Heartstopper Vol. 1 by Alice Oseman

How could I resist an opportunity to include the brilliant Heartstopper in anything!! This is a graphic novel series about two boys discovering their sexuality and themselves while in high school! I love the warmth and comfort these graphic novels give, and I cannot praise them enough!

Dangerous Remedy by Kat Dunn

One of my absolute favourite historical YA novels is Dangerous Remedy. Set during the French Revolution, it has magic, adventure, and f/f romance!! All of my favourite things! It also has a beautiful cover, and the sequel’s cover is just as stunning!

This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar & Max Gladstone

This is one of the best novella's I have ever read, and the cover is so eye-catching too. Telling the story of two time agents who fall for each other across time, I cannot get over how clever and moving this book is!

The Mercies by Kiran Millwood Hargrave

Another stunning blue cover, The Mercies is an adult historical fiction novel which is so moving and heartbreaking. Another novel featuring f/f romance (is there a theme here?!?) this one is set on an Island which after a disaster kills all the men, is only inhabited by women. It's such a brilliant novel!

Wranglestone by Darren Charlton

Finishing off this list is the teen zombie novel Wranglestone. Featuring a wonderful romance and some seriously tense zombie action, this novel is one I cannot recommend highly enough!
