May Wrap Up | Comic Books Edition

Hello everyone, due to the fact that I read 24 books in May, I have decided to split my Wrap Up into parts. This is the comic book part! I have recently got into comics in a big way, thanks mostly to Scribd! So I thought I would chat about them here!

Fence Issues 9-12 by C.S. Pacat

This is a series of comics that I began reading at the end of April, and I completely flew through them! 12 volumes are available on Scribd, and I loved them all. This follows Nicholas as he tries to get into his school’s fencing club so he can keep his scholarship. Fencing is not a sport I know anything about, but I loved this series. The characters are great, the relationships are nuanced, and the illustrations are so so good!

Heavy Vinyl No.s 1-3 by Carly Usdin

After I finished Fence, I wanted to jump into another comic series, and this one came up as recommended to me! This is about a group of people who work at a music shop, and are also part of a crime fighting group!! Its got some wonderful characters, and I can’t wait to see where the series is going to go! I love the illustrations too, the colours are so beautiful!

There we go! I read 7 volumes of these 2 comic book series, and I wanted to give them a wee shoutout in this wrap up!
