A non-fiction book is next on the list, which makes a change from gothic! This looks like such a fascinating account of three young women who set up an independent bookshop in Cairo.As a former bookseller, I love books about book selling, and I just know I am going to love this one!

Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan

I have heard so much hype about this book, and I actually was lucky enough to get approved for a proof on NetGalley! The cover looks so good, and I am sorely tempted to get a finished copy too. This is the first in a fantasy duology that draws its inspiration from the legend of the Chinese moon goddess.

This is a debut sci-fi novel that caught my eye online! A novel about a deadly virus released from the melting permafrost in the Arctic Circle, and the ways humanity continues to cling onto life despite it, this looks like a haunting novel which will stay with me long after I finish reading it.

The Book of Sand by Theo Clare

The Book of Sand looks like a fascinating combination of crime thriller and fantasy novel, from late crime writing author Mo Hayden. The blurb doesn’t actually tell us very much about the novel itself, but I get the feeling this is going to be a real page-turner!
