World Book Day 2020!
It’s World Book Day! One of my favourite days of the year, when you can dress up as your favourite book character and no one looks at you funny!
This year’s campaign is called Share A Million Stories, a nationwide campaign to make sharing stories a part of every child’s life! You can register here to help support the campaign!
The selection of £1 books available for 2020 will definitely encourage everyone to pick up a book. There’s something for everyone!
To celebrate this year, I have chosen my three favourites from the World Book Day choices!
Evie in the Jungle by Matt Haig
A short story featuring the wonderful Evie who can listen and talk to animals!

A mini mystery featuring our favourite crime-solving duo Daisy and Hazel, this time while they are on a holiday at the seaside!

This is a lovely mini story returning us to the wonderful characters from The Boy at the Back at the Class.

If you can visit a bookshop, or share a story with a child today, do! You will be spreading the love of books and reading with children, and maybe end up finding a story for yourself too!
In addition to the Share a Story campaign, the website also has lots of other activities you can get involved with, with story writing prompts and a competition to win some National Book Tokens!
