Weekly Wrap Up 16/05

Hello everyone, I thought it was about time that the Weekly Wrap Up posts returned! I love sharing what I have been enjoying over the week, and hopefully you enjoy reading them!

Books Read

Café con Lychee by Emery Lee

This was the perfect book to pick up this week, I have been struggling to finish anything and I needed a quick read that would get my engrossed. This book was perfect for that! It’s a brilliant queer YA featuring competing cafes, and loads of mentions of bubble tea!

The Carnival of Ash by Tom Beckerlegge

I read this book for a blog tour this month, and really enjoyed it. Its a very wide reaching novel, following a very large cast of characters across a city thrown into turmoil by the death of its leader.

Future Hero by Remi Blackwood

I flew through this short children’s fantasy novel and I really liked it! We follow Jarell who discovers the magical world he has been drawing actually exists, and he is the only one who can save it! This is an excellent start to a brilliant new series, which I am excited to explore!

Teenage Scream Podcast by Heather Parry & Kirsty Logan

I love podcasts, and despite having this one on my ‘to listen’ radar for a while, I finally started this week! I would highly recommend this podcast, perfect for fans of 90s horror, or anyone who just enjoys listening to people chat about books and films!

The Vast of Night

I randomly came across this movie on Amazon Prime, and thought it looked fun. I really enjoyed this movie a lot. It follows a switchboard operator and a radio host in the 1950s who discover a strange audio frequency in their small town. The ending of this movie is so good! I would watch this again for sure!

There we go. There is my weekly wrap up for the last week! How was your week? Let me know in the comments!
