One of my favourite reads of 2020, this book is set during the Revolution in France and follows a group of characters as they try to rescue a girl from the deadliest prison in Paris!!
With amazing LGBTQ+ representation, and such awesome characters, you need a copy of this!!

The Loop by Ben Oliver

This is another YA book that I read towards the end of 2020, and oh wow it is amazing! A dystopian along the lines of The Maze Runner or the Hunger Games, this is a page-turner! It does feature quite a lot of gore, and this does verge on horror at times!!! But is an excellent beginning to the series, and I fully hooked now!

Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko

This was one of my most anticipated releases for 2020, and wow it did not disappoint!! This is an incredible YA fantasy full of magic, and a wonderful found-family! The world-building is remarkable, and I highly recommend if you love a fantasy novel!

Legendborn by Tracy Deonn

Another highly anticipated release that did not let me down. Full of Arthurian legend and ancient societies and magic, this is a flawless YA novel which I want to re-read already!!

The Hungry Ghost by H.S Norup

This is a younger YA novel which I think has flown rather under the radar, but deserves to be read by so many more people. This is a novel set in Singapore, and features some lovely magical writing as Freja tries to settle into her new home, and makes friends with a ghost!

When Life Gives You Mangoes by Kereen Getten

This is another younger YA novel. A poignant and moving story, this one is so beautiful that it just had to feature on my list!

Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan

One of many gay fantasy YAs I read this year, this one is one of my favourites ever! It has an amazing array of characters and such wonderful romance, I loved loved every second. I know the sequel is going to be so good too!!

You Should See Me In A Crown by Leah Johnson

Oh look another gay YA! This one is a contemporary set in high school, two girls who are competing for Prom Queen, start to develop feelings for each other. This is such a wholesome read, it makes me feel all warm and cozy just thinking about it!

Hold Back the Tide by Melinda Salisbury

People have been recommending Salisbury's novels to me for ages, and I finally went ahead and picked one up, and wow all these people were right!! This novel is amazing, although be warned, the ending will break your heart!

Wranglestone by Darren Charlton

We end the list with another gay YA! This one is a zombie thriller too, which frankly is a perfect combination in my mind! This novel has cute romance, and action packed zombie scenes, and I cannot fault that!!
