I have had a proof of this novel for a couple of months now, and it's being published in May, so I am finally going to pick it up! This is a contemporary teen novel which is being compared to Patrick Ness' A Monster Calls, which I am very intrigued by!

Another proof which I received in 2020, this one I have been saving until nearer publication date too! This is a YA fantasy novel featuring witches and forbidden magic and a touch of romance. I've heard so many good things about this novel!

I love Pulley's other work, so I jumped at the chance to request an eARC of her newest! This is a magical tale of time travel and alternative universes, which I cannot wait to start!

A Master of Djinn by P. Djeli Clark

I have read two of the author's previous novellas and loved them, and I know I'm going to love this too. This is the first full novel featuring Agent Fatma, who works for the Ministry of Alchemy, Enchantments and Magical Entities in Cairo. I love Agent Fatma, and I can't wait to read more of her!

Sorrowland by Rivers Solomon

This is another digital ARC I have to read, by the author of The Deep. This is an intriguing novel which seems to merge a number of genres into one, and I really don't know what I'm going to be getting! I am excited to read it though!

Madam by Phoebe Wynne

I had this book on my TBR for February but I pushed it back after the hardback wasn't being published until May. This is a gothic novel set in a boarding school for girls, it is apparently a dark and feminist novel, which I always love!

Circus of Wonders by Elizabeth Macneal

I love love a book set at the circus, so I had to request this when it came up on NetGalley! This is a gothic Victorian novel with some extraordinary characters according to the reviews!

F**K I Think I'm Dying by Claire Eastham

I received a proof of this memoir in March, and I am really looking forward to picking it up. Claire suffers from panic attacks, and in this memoir she discusses how she coped with them. I actually haven't read any non-fiction in 2021 so far, so this will be a good one to start with!

Shards of Earth by Adrian Tchaikovsky

This is an author who I have only recently started reading, but I really enjoy his style of sci-fi novels, and I am excited to start another new series from him! His books are very imaginative, I know this one will be the same.

This is another proof I was lucky enough to receive in March, and I cannot wait to read it! This is a contemporary YA about Felix, a transgender teen who is coming to terms with his identity and falling in love for the first time!

I was lucky enough to receive a proof of this novel from Orbit, and I am excited to get stuck into it. This is the first in a new epic fantasy series of violence and forbidden magic!

The second proof I received from Orbit, this is another epic fantasy novel which I am very excited to read! This is a Norse inspired novel with dragons, which is always a winner in my mind!

This is a fantasy romance book I have had on my shelf for a long time, and I have heard good things about it! Its also LGBTQIA+ which is everything I want in a fantasy novel!!

Flights by Olga Tokarczuk

This is another book I have had on my shelf for a wee while. It was recommended to me by a number of colleagues, so I am expecting good things!! I don't read a lot of contemporary fiction, so I am intrigued to see what I think!

The Girl and the Ghost by Hanna Alkaf

I bought this book not long ago after hearing some good things about it online. I love a middle grade book, especially those from other cultures. This one is a Malaysian folk tale, about a girl and her ghost companion.

The last book I'm hoping to read in April is this one! One of my most anticipated releases of 2021, it came out in March, and I just know I'm going to love it!! Its a sci-fi novel featuring neurodivergent characters, I just know its going to be awesome!
