Weekly Wrap Up 16/03

Hello and welcome to another Weekly Wrap Up (16/03). I read two 5/5 star books this week which is almost unprecedented for me, but very enjoyable! Let’s wrap up my week!

Books Read

The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett

This is one of my most anticipated releases of 2024, I was so excited to receive a copy from Hodderscape! This is an awesome sci-fi mystery novel with brilliant world-building and some really fun and hilarious characters. This was the first of my two 5 star reads this week!

Kindling by Traci Chee

I was kindly sent a proof copy of Kindling by Harper360. This was another fantastic fantasy read, this time a YA! Telling the story of a band of former warriors who must team together to save a village from raiders, it had found family, romance and magic. It was such a good read, my second 5 star of the week!

Why Women Grow by Alice Vincent

My final book of the week was a brilliant and very thought-provoking non-fiction book about being a woman and being a gardener. This was a lovely read and really makes me want to grow more plants!

Currently Reading

The Secret of the Moonshard by Struan Murray

My current read is a very fun fantasy middle grade by one of my favourite middle grade authors! Thank you to Puffin for sending me a proof copy!

A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross

This is my current audiobook read, I’m still very slowly making my way through it. I’m not loving it which I think it making me less likely to pick it up. The narrator is doing some very weird Scottish accents in it which is definitely not helping!!
