Six For Sunday | Bookish Resolutions
Hello everyone, welcome to the first Six for Sunday post of 2021! This wee to start things off we are chatting all about our Bookish Resolutions!!
Thanks as always to the lovelyΒ StephΒ for hosting!
1. Read 100 books
I managed to read 188 books in 2020 (thank you 4 months of furlough!) so I have set myself a slightly lower target for this year, which I think is manageable without being too optimistic!
2. Read 12 classics
If you have been following me for any time you will have realised that I read mostly teen/children’s books with some sci-fi and fantasy mixed in. I rarely read general fiction, and very very rarely read classics. However, I want to change this, I get recommended a lot of classics at work, and I do want to read more! So this year I want to read 12, any suggestions welcome!
3. Reduce my owned TBR
I am not going to share how large my TBR pile is, just be assured that it is large and god forbid if I ever decide to move house!! So I am going to try and read more of the books I already own, and try desperately not to buy as many! Wish me luck!
4. Finish 10 series
Another thing I am not good at is finishing a series. I will read the first book, sometimes the second, but I will just never pick up the final couple. This year I am determined to finish 10 series!
5. Get to 80% feedback on NetGalley
This one is a bit of a pipe dream, and honestly I think it would take an actual miracle for it to happen, but even so, I want to try and reduce my NetGalley to read pile slightly!
6. Post more often on here!
I seem to go through phases where I will post all the time, then there will be big gaps where nothing is posted. I am going to try and become a little more reliable with the blog posts this year, even if it is just one post a week!
There we are, those are my bookish resolutions for 2021! Have you got any? Let me know in the comments!

Good luck! I would recommend Pride and Prejudice and A Christmas Carol as classics you should give a go! βΊοΈ

I’ve read them both, but a re-read would still count I think!! Thanks! π

Some great bookish resolutions here! I think getting my physical tbr down is definitely one of mine and my reading goal for this year is going to be 52 as I want to focus more on taking my time and actually enjoying what I’m reading. Good luck with all your goals for 2021!

52 is still a lot of books! Yeah my life is filled with such a large TBR pile!! Good luck with your resolutions too!

I’m trying to reduce my owned TBR too, it’s an absolute monster and makes up an entire book case.
