    Shelf Control #1

A weekly features celebrating unread books on our shelves! Pick a book you own but haven’t read, write a post about it (suggestions: include what it’s about, why you want to read it, and when you got it), and link up. This is hosted by Bookshelf Fantasies. My choice this week: Title: Under the Greenwood Tree Author: Thomas Hardy Description: “Under the Greenwood Tree” is the story of the romantic entanglement between church musician, Dick Dewey, and the attractive new school mistress, Fancy Day. A pleasant romantic tale set in the Victorian era, “Under the Greenwood Tree” is one of Thomas Hardy’s most gentle and pastoral novels. -Goodreads When/how I…

    August Wrap Up

I managed to read a pretty impressive (for me anyway) 8 books last month, due mostly to the Bout of Books readathon, a holiday to the Isle of Skye where there wasn’t any internet or phone signal and the fact that I’ve not gone back to uni yet!! The first book I read was BZRK by Michael Grant. I love Grant’s Gone series so I had high hopes for this novel too. I gave this novel 3.5/5 stars. My review can be read here. The next book I read was a Net Galley ebook I’ve had for absolutely ages, And All The Stars by Andrea K. Host. This was a…

Review here Changeling by Philippa Gregory 2.5/5 stars This novel was disappointing, I’d been expecting great things from Gregory,…
