January Book Haul

Hello everyone, welcome to my January Book Haul post! One of my 2021 bookish resolutions is to reduce my physical TBR and one way to do that is to buy fewer books! I am on furlough at the moment, so hopefully not seeing the new books everyday will help with this! Hopefully!!! Anyway here are the books I received and purchased in January!

Review Copies

I received these three books in a fun wee bundle from Pan Macmillan which they were kind enough to send to my home address!! I am very excited for all of these books, and I am planning to read The Library of the Dead in February! Rumaysa is a middle grade novel about fairytales and magic which I know I’m going to love! I also love books set during the Middle Ages, and Sistersong is promising to be a book packed full of magic, betrayal and murder!!!

Books I Bought

When I read and loved Vol 1 of the Die graphic novels in January, (my January Wrap Up is here) I immediately ordered Vol 2. I’m very excited to continue this dark and intense series! I listened to the audiobook of Cemetery Boys in 2020 and I loved it so much. I knew I needed a physical copy of my own! Blanca & Roja is the story of two sisters who begin a dangerous game with deadly stakes for both! I’ve heard such good things about this book, I jumped at the chance to grab a secondhand copy!

Where Dreams Descend was technically hauled at the end of December, but the cover is so beautiful! I just really wanted to include it here!! Murder on the Safari Star is one of my most anticipated releases of January to March (my post is here) and my pre-order arrived just at the end of January! Although its not technically on my February TBR I don’t think I’ll be able to resist picking it up!

There we go, that was my understated January Book Haul. I am hoping to continue the low book buying for a few more months, because I just have so many to read!
