Six for Sunday | Favourite Authors

Hello everyone, welcome to another Six for Sunday post! Today I am chatting all about my favourite authors, those authors that I will buy from no matter what the book is about!

Thanks as always to the lovely Steph for hosting!

Patrick Ness

I love Patrick Ness, I started with The Knife of Never Letting Go when it first came out, and I have read everything he has written since! I honestly think I have rated everything he’s released as a 4 or 5 star read, and I have enjoyed every single one. He is one of my auto-buy authors, and if he recommends something I will read it hands down!

Robin Hobb

Robin Hobb is a very new addition to my list of favourites. I read Assassin’s Apprentice at the end of 2020, and Royal Assassin I read in January, but I know she is going to be a firm favourite, and I am so excited to get to explore the rest of her back catalogue. I am especially excited for Ship of Magic, any books set on ships I am 100% here for!!

Sophie Anderson

I read a lot of Middle grade books, but I can always rely on Sophie Anderson to deliver a perfect book which I want to read over and over again! With wonderful characters and lots of animals, I know I am going to love every book of hers that I pick up!

Matt Haig

I love Matt Haig’s writing so much, both his non-fiction and fiction books are in my favourites of all time, and I pick up his books confident that I will love every page. The way he writes characters and emotions is so sensitive and accurate and he makes me feel so much while I’m reading.

Michelle Paver

I have been a fan of Michelle Paver for ages. I read Wolf Brother when it first came out, and I was fully obsessed with that series. Each book I waited eagerly for, and they have been well read! I was very excited to realise that Michelle has written adult books, Gothic spooky books which are right up my street, and I am working my way through them st the moment!

Laura Lam

I read Pantomime quite a few years ago, and I absolutely adored it, but for some reason I just didn’t pick up the other two books in the trilogy! When I started reading Goldilocks last year, it took me a moment to realise it was the same author!! I am now working my way through all of Laura’s backlist, I love the way they write and I would highly recommend to all!

There we are, those are my current favourite authors. Honestly this list changes all the time as I discover new authors, but these ones will always be near the top!

Thank you for reading!
