July Book Haul

Friday, 7 August 2015
I always love reading about the books others have recently bought, and July was a great month for my shelves, but not so good for my wallet!!!
I picked up 8 books last month, 6 physical books, and 2 from Net Galley.

Cujo by Stephen King

This book was one of 4 paperbacks I got for £10 from a bookshop when I went on holiday at the beginning of the month. I have absolutely no idea what this novel is about, although if the cover is anything to go by, it's going to be scary!!!

Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman

This was also included in the 4 for £10 deal, and I never turn down the chance to buy a discounted Neil Gaiman book, so I didn't even realise this is a collection of short stories until I read the blurb when I left the shop! Still, you can never have too many Neil Gaiman books!!!

Ross Poldark by Winston Graham

I bought this novel after thoroughly enjoying the bbc tv adaptation, and Poldark became a kind of theme for this book haul as you'll discover!

Demelza by Winston Graham

This is the second book in the Poldark series, and I was able to grab this one in the 4 for £10 deal, which was handy considering I had only just bought the first one earlier in July.

Jeremy Poldark by Winston Graham

This was the last book I got in the 4 for £10 deal, and is the third book in the Poldark series.

The Axeman's Jazz by Ray Celestin

This is the last physical book I got in July, and I bought it almost wholly for its cover. Not only does it look amazing, but it feels matte and parchmenty, and the book is set in the 20s so it's a win win!!

Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer

This is one of the two books I got from Net Galley, its a science fiction novel, with possible aliens, which I'm looking forward to hopefully reading in August.

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

This is the second Net Galley novel I got in July, and is one that I've wanted to read for ages, so I'm super happy that I got accepted for it on Net Galley. This novel is also in my August TBR.
