Super Six Sunday

Super Six Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Bewitched Bookworms. Every week they pick a topic and we post our top six in that topic.
I found this meme and it sounded cool, so I'm going to try it!

This weeks topic is  Super Six Books That I Can’t Stop Thinking About (For Better or For Worse)

1. Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane

This is one of my favourite crime/thriller novels I have ever read. Equal parts creepy and mystery, and with one of the best twists in the end, I thought about how good this book was for a long time after I read it.

2. Burn by Julianna Baggott

This is the final book in the Pure trilogy by Julianna Baggott and I thought it was a brave way to end the series, it left a lot of unanswered questions and didn't wrap up the characters stories as is normal in YA books. I was left wondering about their fates, meaning I pondered this novel long after I had finished.

3. The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

I read this novel at the end of last year, and although Wilde's language is a tad flowery, the idea of the novel is a good one. I spent a bit of time thinking about the whole novel, and I especially enjoy dropping it into conversations when possible ;)

4. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

This is a beautiful story by my favourite author, it is both sad and uplifting at the same time. I definitely enjoyed thinking and reflecting on this novel after I finished it.

5. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

I read this novel last year in my English class, and it is probably my favourite classic of all time. Its just really well written and I like the take it has on the 1920s society. As I had to study it in English, I obviously had to spend a bit of time thinking about it, but I enjoyed it so much, I'm including it here.

6. I Am Legend by Richard Matheson

I don't have very much to say about this novel other than I enjoyed it a lot, and it's definitely one that I enjoyed thinking about after I read it!

Thanks very much for reading!
