Shelf Control 24/05/16

Tuesday, 24 May 2016

This is a weekly feature that I will be posting on a Tuesday, where I will be spotlighting a book that I have on my shelves that I haven't read. This is a great idea for a weekly post, as I have loads of unread books, and i find it really interesting to read why others have purchased and want to read certain books!! This is hosted by Bookshelf Fantasies.

This Week's Book:
Title: Cujo
Author: Stephen King
Published: 2006
Pages: 432

Synopsis:Outside a peaceful town in central Maine, a monster is waiting. Cujo is a two-hundred-pound Saint Bernard, the best friend Brett Camber has ever had. One day Cujo chases a rabbit into a bolt-hole - a cave inhabited by sick bats. What happens to Cujo, how he becomes a horrifying vortex inexorably drawing in all the people around him makes for one of the most heart-stopping novels Stephen King has written. -Goodreads

How/When I Got it:
I bought it in a used bookstore in Keswick in the Lake District while I was on holiday with my parents last July.

Why I Want to Read It:
I have a rule about buying any Stephen King or Neil Gaiman novels when I find them in second-hand or charity shops, so I didn't even look at the description, I just bought it!! However reading the blurb now, it looks scary and creepy like you want a King novel to be!

Happy Reading!

  1. Ha, I love your rule! Especially since that's pretty much how I approach Stephen King and Neil Gaiman books. I read Cujo such a long time ago and remember being freaked out by it. I wonder how I'd feel about it now -- maybe I should reread and find out!
